IIT Jodhpur - Largest Mural in India
Public Art
Executed over two years, Harmony transforms the façade into a monumental canvas that can be experienced both at a human scale and from the sky. Visible from Google Earth, the mural stands as a permanent public artwork and one of the largest painted surfaces in the country, demonstrating how art can become an integral part of architecture and place-making.
My Role
I led the project from concept to execution, beginning with extensive research into the symbolism of the five elements Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Space and their relationship with the institute's vision. I developed the visual concept, created the artwork, and oversaw its translation into a monumental mural integrated with the campus architecture. Executed over two years, Harmony is one of India's largest murals and remains visible from Google Earth.

The project began with understanding the scale of the site. The mural spans a wind barrier that encircles the entire IIT Jodhpur campus, making it impossible to view the structure in its entirety from the ground. This became the starting point for developing a visual language that could be experienced in fragments while remaining cohesive as a whole.
